Do you find yourself over-stressed and over-booked? It happens to all of us!<\/p>\n

My power tip for this holiday season is to use the holiday \u201cNO\u201d. If you can\u2019t fit in one more event, or commit to volunteer one more time, or work on one more deliverable (that can probably wait) \u2013\u00a0it\u2019s perfectly okay to say \u201cNO\u201d!<\/b><\/p>\n

Many of us have problems with doing this (me included), but I can promise you \u2013 it does get easier over time.<\/p>\n

Things to remember:<\/h2>\n

  1. \u201cNO\u201d is a complete sentence\u2026 you don\u2019t have to provide any explanation.<\/li>\n
  2. When you receive a request, hesitate before you give a response. Take a look not only at your other commitments during that time period but also at how much of your time and energy you have already committed.<\/li>\n
  3. Don\u2019t be afraid to let go of things that really won\u2019t make a difference. These include low priority items, things that others have not asked for or are not expecting you to do, or things that won\u2019t matter at the end of the day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
